Abbreviations:

CHAIN (ch)

SINGLE CROCHET (sc)

DOUBLE CROCHET (dc)

V STITCH: dc, ch 1, dc in stitch indicated

REPEAT (rep)

SLIP STITCH (sl st)

 

Pattern:

Ch multiples of 8 plus 1


ROW 1: 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. * 9 dc in the 4th ch, skip the next 3 chs, 1 sc in the next ch; rep from * across. Skip the next 3 chs and 1 sc in the last ch. Ch 3. Turn.


ROW 2: 1 dc in the sc (just worked), * ch 2, skip next 4 dc and work 1 sc in the 5th dc, ch 2, work V-stitch in the next sc; rep from * across ending with 2 dc in the last sc. Ch 3. Turn.


ROW 3: (In the 1st dc) work 4 dc; * 1 sc in the next sc, 9-dc in the ch-1 space of the V-Stitch. Rep from * across ending with 5 dc in the top of the turning chain at the end of the row. Ch 1. Turn


ROW 4: In the 1st dc, work 1 sc; * ch 2, work a V-stitch in sc, ch 2, skip 4 dc and work 1 sc in the 5th dc of the shell; rep from * across. Work one sc in the turning chain at the end of the row. Ch 1. Turn


Repeat rows 1 - 4 to continue pattern.
